Critical Care Registered Nurse for Level II Trauma Unit

Job Description

The position requires a Critical Care Registered Nurse specializing in a Level II trauma NT/SICU unit with a 12-bed capacity, featuring a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to neuro/trauma patients and should be comfortable managing patients with ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains. Additionally, this role may involve floating to the Cardiovascular Unit, Telemetry Care Unit, ICU/CCU, or Med/Surg units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to critical care patients with complex needs.
• Monitor and manage patients using ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Float to various units including Cardiovascular, Telemetry, ICU/CCU, and Med/Surg as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 5 years of acute critical care experience.
• Experience with EPIC charting.
• Demonstrated Level II trauma critical care experience.
• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Previous traveler experience is required.
