Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

This position requires a rotating shift schedule consisting of 3x12-hour shifts, either nights (19:00 - 07:30) or days (07:00 - 19:30). Shifts may be variable to meet the operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide nursing care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit and may float to other units as needed. This role emphasizes patient-centered care and requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and ECG rhythms, responding promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families about health management and recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in a Med/Surg Tele specialty.
• At least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience is required; travel experience will be considered.
• Must hold a valid Ohio RN license or a compact state license, with the license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Must be willing to work at least every other holiday.
