Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are Nights, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with floating and call required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in a general medical-surgical inpatient nursing unit. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:6 and must demonstrate a solid understanding of general med-surg nursing duties, which may include caring for occasional non-critical pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a general medical-surgical setting
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient vitals and report significant changes
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate patient care
• Participate in the education of patients and their families

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Current RN license in the state of New Mexico (fingerprinting required)
