Bed Placement RN Coordinator

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x10-Hour (20:00 - 06:30); weekends required every other weekend.

Job Description

The Bed Placement RN Coordinator will operate within the Admit / Transfer Center, focusing on the management of bed placement. This role requires excellent coordination skills and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bed assignments for incoming admissions and transfers.
• Monitor and manage patient flow within the facility.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including infection control and workplace safety.
• Report and monitor sentinel events and new admissions.
• Handle the diversion of facilities/bed resources as needed.
• Support rapid response teams and assist with post-surgery and post-procedure care.
• Provide exemplary customer service during patient admissions and transfers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid WA or Compact RN license.
• Current certifications in BLS and PALS are required.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Proficient in using Epic or similar charting systems.
