Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Job Description

We are seeking a competent and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of CVOR and EPIC charting experience, with proficiency in handling cardiovascular (open-heart) cases while also supporting general OR as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols, and monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given accurately.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and available resources.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience in the related nursing specialty is preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of employment or compact.

Schedule

Multiple shifts available, including full-time positions.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
