Registered Nurse - Stepdown/PCU

12-hour nights with weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Stepdown/PCU to provide high-quality care for patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cardiac patients and utilizing various protocols and treatments, including CIWA, pacemakers, and cardiac drips.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and titrate cardiac drips as per physician's orders.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Document patient care and progress in the electronic health record (Cerner).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of Stepdown/PCU nursing experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Comfortable with cardiac monitoring and managing cardiac drips.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and understand cardiac rhythms.
