Registered Nurse - Stepdown/PCU

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, rotating between day and night, with weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown/PCU team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work closely with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure effective monitoring and management of patients with cardiac conditions and other critical needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient health status and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Comfortably manage cardiac drips and monitoring equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery.
• Support nursing aides and patient care techs in daily activities and care.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Stepdown/PCU nursing experience.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and titration of cardiology medications.
