Trauma Operating Room Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts are 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, with the possibility of covering one night shift within the contract as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Trauma Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will possess trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedics experience due to the trauma level of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic patients.
• Assist with surgical procedures and act as a scrub nurse when necessary.
• Participate in call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Float between like units as needed based on staffing requirements.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams, including anesthesia and surgical assistants.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of trauma OR experience required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Valid California RN license is required prior to start.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
