Registered Nurse - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30, working three 12-hour shifts each week. Floating to other like units may be required based on needs, with weekend coverage every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, those with atrial fibrillation, and individuals post-heart catheterization. This role is in a step-down unit from ICU without ventilators or pressor support. The nurse will manage drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and initiation of sotalol, while monitoring telemetry patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage patient care effectively.
• Monitor patients on telemetry and assess vital signs continuously.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Handle specialized procedures and equipment related to patient diagnoses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current TN RN license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of EPIC charting experience
• Previous charge experience and patient ratio experience preferred
