Certified Surgical Technician - Labor & Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for our Labor & Delivery unit, which handles 80-120 deliveries per month. This high-risk unit features 10 beds and 2 operating rooms. The surgical technician will be responsible for assisting in OR cases, stocking rooms and supplies, cleaning rooms and equipment, and completing daily checks. In addition, the technician must be willing to take on the role of a safety sitter when census is low.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating room cases for Labor & Delivery.
• Stock and maintain supplies in various units.
• Perform cleaning and organization of operating rooms and equipment.
• Complete daily checks for equipment functionality and safety.
• Serve as a safety sitter when patient census is low.

Schedule

This position is scheduled from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current certification as a Surgical Technician.
• Valid driver's license or state ID.
• Completion of health screenings, including MMR, TB Test, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and a Fit Test.
• Current COVID-19 vaccination is optional.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
