Registered Nurse - PCU/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit/Telemetry setting. This role requires floating to various departments including Med-Surg and occasionally ICU for PCU patient status. The RN will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care to ensure a high level of comfort and well-being for our patients.

Schedule

This is a 12-hour day shift position with every other weekend requirements as needed. You may be required to float first and take up to 2 extra mandatory shifts per 6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations within the PCU.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Assist in the care of post-Cath Lab patients, ensuring safety and recovery standards are met.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and active RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit and Telemetry settings.
