This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3X12 Hour Shifts: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, with call required on an every other weekend basis.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery will provide specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Responsibilities include monitoring fetal heart rates, assisting in delivery, and providing educational support to new parents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and monitor patients before, during, and after labor.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Provide assistance during deliveries and perform required procedures.
• Educate and support parents on newborn care and breastfeeding.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of maternal and fetal health issues.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Labor & Delivery.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience using Epic charting system is a must.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations are required, with allowances for medical/religious exemptions.
