Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients for procedures, providing instructions to gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
• Apply Nuclear Medicine safety principles to minimize risk to patients and staff.
• Operate nuclear medicine equipment effectively.
• Position patients and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomical area of interest while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Perform venipuncture and maintain venous access as necessary.
• Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes, verifying the correct isotope and dose.
• Evaluate images and data for technical quality and document findings accurately.
• Utilize radiology information systems, including PACS, to manage records and reports.
• Document all relevant information in the electronic medical record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program (education verification required).
• CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required.
• Current AHA BLS certification is essential.
