Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM). Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will care for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, and will be expected to handle various emergency situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients.
• Assess patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatment as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize specialist equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Document all care and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system (EPIC).
• Float to different areas of the unit as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine with Pediatric experience preferred.
• Active New York RN license.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC must be in hand at submission).
• Demonstrated travel experience in the nursing field is required.
• Drivers license must match demographic address.
