Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist, available to start ASAP. The role requires evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on patient needs and physician guidance. The Physical Therapist is responsible for directing all discipline-specific therapy services for those patients while ensuring safe and effective return to community activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care in compliance with relevant guidelines and policies.
• Ensure all care is provided under valid physician orders.
• Participate in student programs to foster learning.
• Engage in personal professional development and continuing education.
• Maintain compliance with the discipline's State Practice Act and ethical standards.
• Contribute to the organization’s performance improvement initiatives.

Schedule

Hours: 32-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Required Experience/Certifications/Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Previous assignment with this agency is highly desired.
• Previous assignment with Select Medical is a plus.
