Shift: Nights 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Job Description

The competent nurse practices independently within a clinical setting, demonstrating an awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. Responsibilities include providing routine and complex care while developing long-range goals and plans to manage clinical situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols and monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
• RN License in the state of Texas or compact.
