Shifts are from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, four days a week.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist in CVOR will perform a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. Responsibilities include maintaining aseptic techniques, providing comfort and support for patients, and preparing the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the type of case.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain sterile fields, pass instruments, and assist the physician as directed.
• Monitor aseptic techniques and patient safety throughout procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgery and position them according to the type of procedure.
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room as needed.
• Identify and care for biological specimens during procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all aseptic and technical procedures within the surgical environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required.
• 2+ years of CVOR experience required and a minimum of 2 years in Neurosurgery.
• BLS certification is required (AHA only).
• Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license is required.
