Noninvasive Vascular and Cardiac Sonographer

Job Description

The Noninvasive Vascular and Cardiac Sonographer performs various vascular and cardiac diagnostic tests according to established protocols. Responsibilities include conducting echocardiograms, carotid ultrasounds, and other specialized vascular testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms, carotid ultrasounds, PVR, segmental pressures, TCPO2, TEE resting echoes, stress echoes (dobutamine and treadmill), venous and arterial ultrasounds.
• Interpret and document procedures and prepare reports according to protocols.
• Communicate preliminary and final reports to relevant parties.
• Maintain accurate patient files and ensure all equipment is clean and functional.
• Assist in training students and new employees in testing protocols.
• Maintain continuing education units (CEUs) and provide necessary information for lab accreditation.
• Contribute to ongoing departmental improvement processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of experience in vascular and cardiac diagnostics.
• 1+ years of travel experience preferred.
• Must be registered in vascular (RVT) and echo (RDCS) or equivalent certifications through ARDMS or CCI.
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the position.

Schedule

This position offers a variable shift, which can alternate between 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM based on unit needs.

Assignment Duration

The position is a 13-week contract opportunity.
