Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse with a minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Epic and hold a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. NIH certification must be obtained prior to starting. The nurse will be expected to work every other holiday as part of the contract agreement.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals.
• Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition tests and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Must hold a Permanent Ohio nursing license or a valid compact state license.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are mandatory.
• NIH certification to be obtained prior to start.
• Epic experience is a must.
• Two recent references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty are required.
