This is a 6-month contract position.

Shift: 5x8.0, starting August 10th.
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with each patient’s needs, goals, and physician directives. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring a functional treatment program that effectively aids in returning patients to community activities. This position serves as an educator of patients, families, students, and coworkers, while adhering to professional standards and compliance protocols.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Document care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
- Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders.
- Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment.
- Create an individualized professional development plan in collaboration with clinical management.
- Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives and follow through with action plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable license for the state in which work will be performed.
- Previous assignments with the agency and/or Select Medical are highly desired.
