This position offers a 5x8.0 schedule with flexible hours, totaling 40 hours per week.
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician directions. The therapist is responsible for the delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective returns to community activities. Additionally, the position requires education for patients, families, students, and coworkers, along with maintaining compliance with confidentiality and organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning for developing appropriate treatment plans.
- Document medical records clearly, concisely, and accurately in compliance with guidelines.
- Ensure patient care is provided under valid physician orders and within approval from insurance.
- Participate in the student program, supervising and providing a positive learning environment.
- Develop a professional growth plan and pursue ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to the State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
- Understand the organization’s performance improvement methodology to enhance service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable state licensure for Physical Therapy.
