Emergency Room Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM. Weekly hours: 36 hours with every other weekend (EOW) required.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role requires strong clinical skills, including the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while effectively managing a variety of emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions and administer medications as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop treatment plans.
• Assist in trauma resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill patients.
• Educate patients and families about health management and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC).
• Experience in level 1 or level 2 trauma care essential.
• Completion of required competency testing and health screenings.
