Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Step-Down RN with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a step-down unit, focusing on patients recovering from cardiac and respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with congestive heart failure, respiratory failure, and post-vascular procedure care.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including cardiac drips and blood products.
• Perform frequent vital signs and neurovascular checks.
• Provide post-heart catheterization care, including monitoring and troubleshooting complications.
• Document patient care using Allscripts charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• 2+ years of recent step-down or telemetry experience preferred.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
