Registered Nurse - Cardiac/Vascular Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM); weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in the Southeast Heart & Vascular Institute. The unit specializes in post-operative care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients, including advanced procedures and complex cases. The RN will work in a collaborative environment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through teamwork and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Titrate and manage intravenous drips for medications such as Heparin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem.
• Provide post-operative care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients, including CABG and heart transplants.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize EPIC and other clinical systems for accurate documentation and communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Cardiac/vascular nursing experience is mandatory.
• Experience with titration of medications and management of complex cardiovascular patients.
