Registered Nurse - Emergency, Medical Surgical/Swing Bed, and Skilled Nursing

Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) and through delegation by the Nurse House Supervisor, the Registered Nurse independently implements the nursing process to provide safe and effective patient care throughout selected/assigned hospital nursing departments. The nurse will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized, age-appropriate care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide break relief and supplemental staffing to RNs in various departments including Emergency, Medical Surgical/Swing Bed, and Skilled Nursing.
• Deliver nursing support across departments as directed or autonomously, ensuring the maintenance of required proof of competency.
• Implement the nursing process effectively and safely for patients aged 0-120 years.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of one year of acute care experience within the past two years.
• At least six months of recent experience in an Emergency or Critical Care setting is required.
• Must hold a current, unencumbered California RN License.
• Certification in AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS is mandatory, with BLS certification being from the American Heart Association.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
