Day 3x12-Hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00) with required weekends and block scheduling.

Job Description

The Charge Emergency Room RN will take on leadership responsibilities and provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the ability to charge upon start with minimal orientation and manage a patient load effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the charge nurse while also managing a patient load.
• Provide emergency care for a variety of conditions, including trauma and critical emergencies.
• Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient care excellence.
• Maintain ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications while adhering to hospital protocols.
• Offer guidance and support to nursing staff and assist in developing patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience, with previous charge experience required.
• Current RN license, preferably a compact license.
• ACLS, BLS, TNCC certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with patient ratios of 4:1 in an Emergency Department setting.
• Proficient in Epic charting system is preferred.
