Registered Nurse - PCU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts: 12HR shifts from 3A-3P / 7A-7P rotation or 7A-7P / 7P-7A rotation. 36 hours per week, with no block scheduling.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the East 7 PCU unit. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be willing to take charge when necessary. Flexibility according to the needs of the facility's schedule is essential, including floating to other units if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes as necessary.
• Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Work collaboratively with other nursing staff and healthcare professionals.
• Conduct patient education and support family members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute PCU and med-surg/tele experience.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license.
• Current certifications in NIH and AHA BLS.
