Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

The position involves working 4 10-hour shifts, with on-call duties as required. Please note that block scheduling requests cannot be guaranteed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team. Providing explanations and instructions to patients or responsible persons is a vital part of this role. The RN will demonstrate clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient conditions and contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflicts using professional communication skills. Additionally, you will meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care, participate in continuing education, and maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement and evaluate care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes effectively.
• Maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS Card
• ACLS Certification
• Experience in Intensive Care Unit preferred
