Schedule

12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with the potential for up to 2 extra mandatory shifts per 6 weeks.

Job Description

The role involves providing high-quality nursing care in an acute care setting. Nurses are expected to float to the Progressive Care Unit for Medical-Surgical assignments unless telemetry trained. The unit has a total of 23 beds, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6 maximum on nights, and 1:5 on day shifts (Monday to Friday).

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions regularly.
• Float to the PCU when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
• NIHSS Certification
• Current RN License
