Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Must work 6 weekend shifts in a 6 week period.

Job Description

The Emergency Department is a high-paced, high acuity environment, looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling various patient types, including trauma cases, and will be committed to providing excellent care in a rural emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient statuses and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in educational initiatives for peers and staff regarding best practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute setting, preferably in Emergency Medicine.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
• Experience with Peripheral IV, Stroke, SEPSIS, and STEMI care is preferred.
