Job Description

The primary role of the Radiation Therapist is to administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiologist. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during procedures, while using advanced imaging and therapeutic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist.
• Utilize advanced technology in the imaging and treatment of patients.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout treatment sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of all treatment plans and patient documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Prior experience in radiation therapy is preferred.
• All clinical staff must comply with New Mexico state requirements, including background checks and fingerprinting.
