Radiation Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed according to established practices and standards. This role involves reviewing prescriptions and diagnoses, acting as a liaison between providers and support staff, preparing equipment, and maintaining records and reports. The Radiation Therapist may also assist in localization of tumors and perform dosimetry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• Maintain required core competencies and comply with established policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain treatment equipment and records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education and accredited radiology program or equivalent.
• Two to five years of clinical experience preferred.
• IMRT and LDR/HDR experience preferred.
• Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
• Must have New Mexico Licensure upon hire.

Schedule

This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
