Schedule

Days shift from 0700 to 1930, rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and those requiring both emergent and elective surgeries. Patients receive the highest standard of professional care from registered nurses and nurse assistants, with specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing strongly encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill adults and pre- and post-operative patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and progress.
• Assist with surgical procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in telemetry monitoring for stable cardiac patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• AHA ACLS certification required.
• Orthopedic and Bariatric experience preferred.
• Recent Epic experience is mandatory.
