Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 1900 to 0730, with rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and those requiring both emergent and elective surgery. As a registered nurse on this unit, you will provide the highest standards of professional care to medical surgical patients, ensuring their health and well-being during their recovery. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill adult patients.
• Assist in the management of patients requiring surgery, both emergent and elective.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring for patients requiring stable cardiac monitoring.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• AHA ACLS certification required.
• Recent Epic experience is mandatory.
• Orthopedic and Bariatric experience is preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
