Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while participating in a dedicated team focused on patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients and families for effective education.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and facilitate patient education accordingly.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to relevant healthcare providers.
• Supervise and support ancillary nursing staff, providing training as needed.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in team building activities to promote a positive work atmosphere.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift for specific facilities.
• A minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts, specifically a 3x12.0 schedule, including every third weekend.
