CT/X-Ray Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Varied hours: Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

As a CT/X-Ray Technologist, you will perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking. Your initiative will be essential in applying appropriate skills to facilitate accurate diagnoses. You may be assigned independent responsibilities by lead technologists or management and will need to adhere to departmental and hospital policies regarding client care.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks.
• Conduct IV insertions and injections as necessary.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and practice infection control in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications.
• Complete annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens and infection control training.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of current CT/X-Ray experience required.
• Previous travel experience of at least 6 months preferred.
• ARRT certification in CT and Radiography is required.
• Massachusetts Radiology License is required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
