Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care

This position involves a night shift schedule of 3, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our cardiac care unit. The ideal candidate will care for patients ranging from young adults to geriatrics, focusing on those recovering from cardiac interventions, including surgeries and stent placements. The position involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for cardiac patients, including monitoring and administering medications.
• Manage and interpret telemetry readings, ensuring prompt action on any changes in patient status.
• Perform charting and documentation using the Epic system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about cardiac health and recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in cardiac care or telemetry.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 during night shifts.
• Must possess a valid state or compact nursing license at the time of application.
• Travel experience is preferred.
