Registered Nurse - ICU Boarders in PACU

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for ICU boarders located in the PACU unit. This position is focused on managing trauma overflow patients, although prior trauma training is not mandatory. RNs may also be required to float to the Emergency Department for ICU holds or to various ICU/Stepdown units depending on patient needs and unit census.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate the care needed for assigned patients under the guidance of a licensed physician.
• Utilize the nursing process to collaborate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to tailor patient care.
• Direct nursing support staff in delivering patient care according to professional standards and institutional policies.

Schedule

This position requires the candidate to work 3 shifts per week from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, totaling 36 hours weekly.

Required Experience and Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in ICU or relevant clinical specialty is preferred.
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
