ICU Registered Nurse - 13 Week Contract

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 6 PM to 6:30 AM with every other weekend requirement.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will deliver high-quality patient care in a critical care environment. Nurses may be asked to float to Telemetry, MedSurg, ED, and TCU as needed. This position requires prior travel experience, and acceptance of the offer must occur within 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for critically ill patients with various diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-TPA stroke.
• Administer medications, including drips and sedation, as per protocols.
• Perform necessary procedures like IV insertion and medication administration.
• Collaborate with medical staff including intensivists and hospitalists who are present 24/7.
• Utilize critical care tele-med technology for monitoring patients remotely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is necessary.
• Ability to float to MedSurg if ED experience is not available.
