Outpatient Physical Therapist - Neurology Specialty

Schedule

Full-time schedule with 9 hour shifts for four days and one 4-hour shift on Friday.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, with a focus on facilitating an effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while upholding the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop and implement effective treatment plans focused on achieving established goals.
• Document patient care in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment and necessary supervision.
• Develop and pursue a professional development plan with clinical management.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Specialization in Neurology is preferred.
