Sunday - Wednesday (Four 10-hour shifts): 8:30 PM - 7 AM, no on-call responsibilities.

Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT Scan) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. This role involves creating diagnostic images while ensuring a safe and positive experience for patients. Technologists support education and continual learning as technology evolves.

Responsibilities include performing CT exams on various patient types, including trauma patients, outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those receiving intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. The CT Technologist also enforces radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Education: Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and a high school graduate.
• Licensure, Certification & Registration:
  • New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in New York.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Experience: Entry-level candidates with limited or no experience are encouraged to apply; MIT Level assigned based on skill set and experience.
