Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule

This position includes four 10-hour shifts, with hours from 6:40 AM to 5:10 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the Operating Room setting. Responsibilities include collaborating with the healthcare team, ensuring patient safety, administering medications, and conducting ongoing assessments of patients during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and preparations
• Assist in the operating room during surgical procedures
• Monitor and manage patient recovery post-surgery
• Collaborate with the surgical team for optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 24 months of recent operating room or inpatient experience
• Active RN license with no hits on state license to practice
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from approved vendors (AHA, ARC, ASHI)
• Driver's license for residency verification
