OR Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position with a night schedule of 3 x 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse to join our Level 1 trauma center. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in multiple surgical specialties, particularly in orthopedic, trauma, and spine procedures. This position involves working in a high-volume OR environment, where strong collaboration and quick decision-making skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures in various specialties including orthopedics, trauma, and neuroscience.
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and ensure the highest standards of patient care during surgical interventions.
• Utilize appropriate surgical techniques and adhere to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and communicate effectively to enhance patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and surgical processes accurately in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active and unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an OR setting with specialized experience in ortho, trauma, spine, and neuro surgeries.
• Previous experience in Level 1 trauma center preferred.
