Job Description

This position provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care, providing comprehensive nursing services to neonatal patients and their families/caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for neonatal patients.
• Demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial care specific to the neonatal population.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Utilize scientific knowledge and undergo continuous learning for optimal patient care.
• Provide family-centered care and involve families in the care process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a level 3 NICU or higher.
• Ventilator trained.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license prior to hire.
• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP.
