PACU RN Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Mids, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. with call required every fourth weekend and one night per week.

Job Description

The PACU RN will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. The role requires a focus on monitoring patient recovery, managing pain, and addressing any complications during the immediate postoperative phase.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Administer medications and manage patient pain control.
• Collaborate with surgical teams for effective patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding postoperative care.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort
• Floating to endoscopy, pre-op, and surgery center as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• PACU and ICU experience is essential.
• Ability to float to various departments as required.
