Shift: 7A-3P with call coverage after 3P and weekend call.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Open Heart Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in the cardiothoracic service line and be prepared to handle high-acuity patients recovering from complex surgeries, including CABG and valve replacements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to post-operative heart surgery patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage critical situations effectively.
• Coordinate care with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the EMR system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of Texas.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in open heart surgeries and related procedures.
• Ability to float to other ORs as needed, based on scheduling.
