Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in implementing treatment plans for patients. This role involves working in an LTACH setting, providing compassionate care and support to individuals recovering from serious health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Provide patient education on home exercise programs.
• Document patient progress and report any changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current PTA licensure in the state of Texas.
• Experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred.
