MRI Technologist - Days / Varied

Assignment Duration

This is an 8-13 week contract position, with an urgent start date available.

Schedule

3x12-hour shifts weekly on day shift (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Job Description

The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities include explaining procedures to patients, positioning and immobilizing patients on the exam table, and observing them during the scan under the direction of a physician. The technologist will also review computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes and utilize safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to generate diagnostic images.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure their understanding.
• Position and immobilize patients properly during scans.
• Monitor patients throughout the examination process.
• Review images to verify quality and accuracy for diagnostic use.
• Implement safety measures to protect patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Candidates must possess relevant certifications and experience in MRI technology as well as appropriate licensure to operate in the imaging field.
