Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Candidates must be flexible regarding shift lengths and days, as there is no guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a Medical Unit environment. This role includes working with various medical equipment and engaging in essential nursing duties while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Medical Unit setting
• Utilize Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes as required
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 for days and evenings, and 1:8 for nights
• Adhere to professional nursing attire and facility protocols
• Complete department-specific training and orientation

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-10 years of nursing experience required
• Active State of Hawaii RN license must be obtained by the start of the assignment
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
• Proof of flu vaccination or an approved exemption required before contract start date
