Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician directions. The role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. The Physical Therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective return to community activities while serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers. Expected duties also include maintaining compliance with organizational codes of conduct and promoting a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and create treatment plans focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
• Document all medical records accurately and timely, adhering to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in the student program, providing supervision and evaluations for interns.
• Engage in continuous professional development and education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Adhere to clinic guidelines for personal appearance, attendance, and professionalism.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing.

Schedule

This position operates within a 5x8.0 shift schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
